The next step is to name the bid. The name should be a short description of the bid. For this example we will use the name Smith Remodel. For the description we will just use 3 rooms as we can elaborate on this further as we break this bid down into items. The date entered has defaulted to today’s date so we will leave that as is.
 Since we have a small construction company we do not have any sales people so we will enter nothing into that field. We usually we
hold a bid for 30 days since that is the length of time the lumber company will guarantee our price for, so we will set this bid to expire 30 days from today. By clicking on the ‘?’ button a calendar is popped up and we select the day we want the bid to expire. We click
the next button at the bottom of the screen to move on to the next
step.
